Today was pretty much a transfer day, so not much to report. Up about 7, and down for breakfast on Gozo by 7:30 am. Then, out of the hotel around 9-ish. We were able, once again, to successfully traverse the narrow parking garage and get out without injury!
Nice to just sit with a good glass of wine!
10th Floor, and a great view!
My salad caprese -- excellent!
R's spigola .. all of it ...
My pizza with eggplant!
Yeah!! We were to the ferry back to Malta about 9:30 and had very smooth sailing. Then, back to the Hilton to drop our luggage, and then turn in the car. We had to gas up, and I am very proud to report that we managed to figure out how to fill up the car on a Sunday, with no attendants at the gas station! We first managed to put in a 10 E bill, and put in 10 E of unleaded fuel. As it wasn't full, we had to get the machine to accept yet another 10 E bill -- these machines do not give change! Fortunately, the car took about 9.75 E and we were all set! Back to the hotel via bus and to check in. As it was way early, we sat in the lobby for a bit and enjoyed live music and a glass of wine. Finally got to our room, 1040, and settled in. R's suggestion was that we would do laundry now, when we have the time, rather than having to do it first thing in Rome. So...back to "our" launderette and it took probably an hour and a half to get everything washed and dried. Now basically clean luggage to go to Rome in the morning! Up early, as our plane leave at 7:45 am...I know, we're crazy! Finally out to dinner -- Santini, down the block where we ate the other day. I had a salad caprese with a pizza with eggplant on it. R had the spigola -- sea bass and enjoyed it very much.
Now back in room getting ready to call Mom and Sis, and then get to bed!
More later!
